J&K: NIA raids 56 locations linked with Jamaat-e-Islami in a day

Jammu and Kashmir: The National Investigation Agency or NIA raided 56 locations of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with a terror-funding case. The raids commenced in 14 of 20 districts in a single day after the prod from the Union Home Ministry.

NIA officials have seized heaps of documents, and digital devices from the location thought to be having evidence of the funding charges.

The Jammu And Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials were also part of the raid, conducted on Sunday.

The raids on the premises of banned Kashmiri outfit Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) concerned the alleged separatist and secessionist activities case, filed by NIA on 5 February.
